Shyamnagar Zamindar Bari, Satkhira
Once, Jashahor (present Satkhira and Jessore areas) was an august condition of south Bengal. Maharaja Pratapaditya was its lord and his capital was situated at present-day Dhumghat town in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira. The zamindar constructed a palatial house in 1888 at Nakipur town in Shyamnagar Upazila. Privately known as 'Nakipur Zamindar Bari', it is about 62 km upper east of Satkhira city.
